Activities: Arrival in Chengdu

You will be welcomed up by Holy snowland tour guide at the airport and will drive you to your hotel. You will have a typical Tibetan food for dinner and you will be briefed about Tibetan culture and your upcoming trip.

Overnight in Chengdu

Activities: Chengdu-Rangaka(ch. Xinduqiao) (3200m) / 335km /6hrs drive

This morning you will leave Chengdu and take about 4hrs drive on highway up to Datsedo(ch.Kangding). Once you get out of highway you will be in Datsedo(ch.Kangding), which is used as commercial center of tea horse trading in Kham Tibet. There you will have luch and then in the afternoon you will pass Zhila with 4200m(gateway of Kham). Then you will drive down to Rangaka town. Rangaka(ch. Xinduqiao) is know as paradise for photograph as in autumn  it is beautiful with falling yellowish tree leaves.

Activities: Rangaka(ch. Xinduqiao)-Daocheng/ 342km /6-7hrs drive

You will experience the drive on mountain ranges and will realize why Tibet is called plateau. We will pass several high mountains and will reach Litang. There we will have lunch and then will keep on heading to Daocheng town.

Activities: Daocheng-Yading village /108km / 2hrs drive

We will drive to Yading Nature reserve and there we will take scenic bus and then drive to Yading village. We will check in at the hotel and then we can go to Tsogo monastery and even can walk to Droma Yongtso lake.

Activities: Yading day hike-Shangrila town

Try to get up early in the morning and go to Chonggu Temple for the stunning sunrise, then take the local battery cart to Luorong Pasture, it is nestled on a high and flat valley encircled by the three sacred mountains with expansive meadows and surrounding forests. The pasture is dotted with brooks, lakes and the Gongga River cuts through the grassland posting a majestic view. Then hike up to Milk Lake and Five color lake (altitude 4,700m) (roughly 5 hours round trip by hiking) or you can take the horseback riding to Sheshengya first, then trek up to Milk Lake & Five Color Lake (about 3-4 hours, the horse riding fee is on your own). It is a challenging trekking, but its all worth for the spectacular scenery. Later afternoon get back to Yading village and take the local sightseeing bus back to Shangri-La town where you will meet the driver

 

Overnight Shangrilatown

Activities: Shangrila town-Xinduqiao/ 418km /7-8hrs drive

Today you will basically take the same way back to Xinduqiao, on the way you will pass Daocheng county, Litang county and Yajiang county. This would be a long drive and on the way you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the high plateau.

Activities: Xinduqiao - Chengdu

This would be your last day of the trip and you will drive about 6hrs and then arrive in Chengdu town or directly send you to the airport.
